My name is Nathan Friedman. I am a current resident of good old flagstaff, arizona. I go to work, I ride my bikes, I ride a unicycle, I ride skate skis and tele-skis in the winter. Every now and again, I pull out some rock climbing gear, some whitewater kayaking gear, and sometimes even a good old pair of hiking boots. Primarily, though, I like to be outside.

My current weak spot on the bike is for endurance mountain biking. I like long races, like 50 milers, like 80 milers, like 100 milers, and especially 24 hour races.

I also really enjoy pulling out the tele-skis in the winter. I am usually somewhere with deep snow and long hikes up. I ride my fair share of lifts, but have an equal (or greater) number of days each winter traveling up a mountain under my own power, only to come back down in a flurry of drop-kneed frenzy.

I occasionally make a solid attempt at competing at these things, but just enjoying each day more than the last frequently gets in the way of any sort of real training towards that end.

What is a handlebar sandwich?
I envision it like a knuckle sandwich, only with a handlebar. Maybe similar to a ‘superman’ or an OTB on your bike. Bottom line is: It sounded cool, and hey, it was a domain name that wasn’t taken. I’ll run with that.
