I’m sitting in the phoenix airport right now waiting for my flight to arrive.

By the books, I should be sitting on my plane, waiting for our turn to take off, but holiday delays are expected. After all, it is the holidays.

I arrived 2.5 hours early for my flight, because I’ve learned my lesson about the phoenix airport, and the time it takes to get from flagstaff to a plane. That time has been anywhere from 2.5 hours to 5.5 hours on any given day. Exciting.

This post is for the tech geeks out there. I’ve decided to throw some sites out to help entertain you along your holiday travels.

Caution: these sites have absolutely nothing to do with biking, at all. Why? Because for the next few days, I will not have anything to do with biking either. So it goes.

XKCD.com
This is a fun webcomic to check out every now and again. It’s defintely heavy on the tech/geek current events, but the link above should be one everyone can enjoy. Make sure you roll your mouse over the image as well, the commentary on the comics are almost always as entertaining as the comic itself.

Lifehacker
Really neat site about general tips to help you along the way. Everything from better ways to organize your time, your email, and your schedule, to interesting websites to help you out with those things. I have found some of my favorite firefox extensions from here as well.

Treehugger
Interesting site about all sorts of sustainable stuff. Everything from green initiatives, to news about environmental products, to interesting artistic endeavors about the environment. Once you start poking around on the site, it’s easy to get lost.

BoingBoing
“A directory of wonderful things”. That pretty much explains it all. A crazy mix of videos, news, products, and anything else which comes to mind for the writers on this site. Another good one to get lost in.

Engadget and Gizmodo
I’ll admit, I don’t keep up on these as much as I’d like, mostly because if you let the two of them sit without checking them for a couple days, and you’ll be staring down the barrel of almost 1000 posts. Ridiculous, but interesting gadgets of all sorts.

I’ll just give a quick mention slashdot and digg, because they are the quintessential geek sites, but if you don’t know about them already, you probably don’t want to. It’s a dark path that you might not want to start down if you’re not mentally prepared for the level of geekdom which will follow. . . .

I check them daily.

Enjoy. My plane is starting to board, it’s a good sign!
