....do as the romans do. Or something like that.

I seem to be seeing a lot of music lately. I don’t know if it’s because I’m just doing less of everything else, or that there is some really good music coming through. Either way, I saw The Samples thursday night (drank fat tire), The Knockabouts (drank a lot of guiness and even more bushmills), then I went to see Gravy at the moggollon on saturday night, and for some reason decided on the PBR. I guess there is something to be said for certain music and certain drinks going together. Either way, it was a good time.

Needless to say, my car spent the night downtown on friday night (rode my bike down the other two nights), and so I got up saturday morning only to find that my car needed to be retrived. However, the planets aligned, and I shortly thereafter recieved a call from Mr. Mark Cameron. He said “lets go for a ride”, and I said “Aha! How about you come pick me up!”. Somehow riding downtown to get my car seemed like too much effort, but a mountain bike ride didn’t. I have this strange feeling that my logic circuts weren’t really firing quite right yet. Anyways, he picked me up, and we left from his house for a ride. I told my roommate I’d be back 3 hours tops, he said that he didn’t feel like a long ride, much more than about 15 miles and 2 hours. About 3.5 hours, a few thousand feet of climbing, and 25 miles later, and we’re finally back. Something about best laid plans….... Either way, it was a freakin’ nice ride. Mother nature has been screwing with us, and it was a balmy 50 degrees out, and we were riding through patches of snow in the shaded spots. It was nice, but man, either snow or don’t. None of this evil temptress crap…..

So, I came home and went straight to sam’s club and bought enough granola bars for the next 2 months, and a huge box of frozen mozzerella sticks. There’s something to be said for freezer food every now and then. I had a craving, and nothing but mozzerella sticks or cheap jalepeno poppers was going to alleviate that. By the way, I didn’t get the jalepeno poppers because they are a “seasonal item” at sam’s club and they didn’t have them. WTF? First off, how are jalepeno poppers a seasonal item, and second, isn’t the holiday season almost in full swing? I know I’ve seen more than a few christmas trees around here already…...

Another early morning on the unicycle. Kai and I met around 8am and tore it up out on the trails for a few hours. I almost froze my nuts off, but it was still a good time, and it is one of the only times you can ride up schultz anymore without being trampled by a stampede of runners, bikers, and horseback riders. I came home ate a second breakfast and went straight to the couch for a much deserved 2.5 hour nap. Yeah, I like weekends.

On a final note, there is some great shit coming up at the Orpheum. Check it:
