Close to the end…
So classes are officially over for this semester. Man when classes were over the partying was on like you have no idea. The ultimate frisbee team threw a huge “burn your notes” party at another house on Hutton St. A bunch of drunk people burning their notes on a back porch apparently sounded like a good idea to someone…not to me. Wasn’t so good when someone almost burned the house down.
The next night, Saturday, was round two but this time it was in Albany at Rocco Fish Taco’s house. That night was crazy. Sam and I were shoved through the front door of Rocco’s house and there was a beerfight between two girls from Smith College.
One of Rocco and Stuart’s old friends, Billy, was partying with us. That kid was amazing: chipped front tooth, from a mountain bike crash which he refused to let them fix his tooth because he thought it looked cool, and everything. That kid creeped Bonner out after asking her to tell him “I have to poop real bad”. That one pretty much had everyone rolling around in laughter. Later in the night apparently Billy pissed all over Rocco’s room, I’m talking walls, bed, pollows, etc…, and then straight up dissappeared. We awoke in the morning to find Billy’s shoes and his hat but nothing else.
That same night, as we partied hardy in upstate NY, I got a picture message on my phone from Freidman. It simply said and I quote “Ozomatli rocked my fuckin nuts off. I have no more nuts.” Well put sir. I saw those guys in Red Rocks in Denver in August and they reakin rock out like I have never seen. And after they finished their set, and the other band was setting up to play, they grabbed some handheld instrument and wandered up into the audience playing the whole time. It was pretty sick.
Over the weekend there was also the Cyclocross National Chamionships in Rhode Island. I was checking out the results the other day and apparently Caitlyn McCullough, an RPI rider, placed 6th in the Womens Collegiate race. Well done, she is faster than I can ever hope to be. Keep on keeping on. PEACE!!
