The concert season has arrived. Not that there aren’t concerts in the summer (and nice ones, now that “PMA”:http://www.pinemountainamphitheater.com/ is open), but it is the season where I’m more apt to blow off some time outside for a concert or a movie.

Tonight is Rob Zombie. It’s gonna be out of control. I dare say this is one of the biggest acts to hit the Orpheum yet. Tickets were what you would pay at a big venue, and they sold out weeks and weeks ago. The pre-gaming will be starting in less than an hour, and I don’t expect to be done with the main event and post-partying until late in the night.

Next on the schedule is a road trip to denver to see our esteemed colleague Mr. Whithey. I’m cutting out of work next friday at noon, driving to Santa Fe to meet up with Raney (who, from the sound of his emails, is brimming with anticipation for the festivities). We’re hopping in his vehicle, hightailing it to denver, and getting there just in time to begin painting the town red.

The main event, however, will be saturday night, with a rousting round of drinking and singing at the “Fillmore Auditorium”:http://www.ticketmaster.com/venue/246097 with “Flogging Molly”:http://www.floggingmolly.com/. Oh what fun that will be.

Oh yeah, then we’re gonna drive back sunday. Can’t waste that precious vacation time on fighting a hangover.

Finally, I just want to pass along a movie suggestion from my roommate Bryan. He got “Brick”:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0393109/ for us from Netflix. I was initially skeptical, but that movie is incredible. I highly recommend it. It’s definitely one you have to pay attention, but you get sucked in, and it’s phenomenal.

And with that, my liver just told me that it was feeling parched. I’m not one to argue.
