It was kinda a last minute decision, but I’ve decided to check out for a few days. I’m road trippin around utah and colorado at the current time. I packed up the car with the singlespeed and the ski gear on tuesday, and hit the road for a meetup with some old friends in southwest utah. The plan was to hang out for a night, bike somewhere around St. George, and then head to Salt Lake.

I got rained out in Zion and St. George to do much of anything except chill out and realize that my tent has seen better days in the ‘waterproof’ department. However, I did make it to Salt Lake with the intention of a little early season skiing tomorrow.

Alicia even hooked my up with a discounted demo coupon at Alta (where she is currently working) so I’m gonna drop by in the morning and see if they have any NTN setups. That should take care of any early season condition induced boredom.

The plan is that there isn’t a plan. I gotta be to work on monday morning. . . . unless the weather dictates otherwise. That’s the only real schedule.

If the snow’s good in Salt Lake (doesn’t look too great right now) I’ll be here for a few. If not, I may hit up moab, and then move on down to Silverton or Durango, who seem to be getting dumped on. Or maybe I’ll just stay in moab.

Who knows.

It feels good to not have a schedule.

In fact, it feels great to not have anything to worry about except what set of gear to pull out of the back of the subaru tomorrow morning.

I hope everyone has a good turkey day tomorrow. I’m sure we’ll hit up something fun for turkey day.
