The first annual pre-thanksgiving turkey fry is in the books. By the numbers:

* ~25 people
* 16.5 lbs of turkey
* 3 gallons of peanut oil
* 4 bottles of wine
* 1 keg of fat tire
* A whole shit-ton load of other food
* 3 pieces of pie and some pita bread left after it was all over.

It was a good time. There’s about 1/4 of the keg left, and Jason said he could take care of that while I’m headed back to “the homeland”:http://www.visitbloomington.com/ for thanksgiving. I think everybody had an excellent time, and so it is officially the “first annual”. Next year I think we’re gonna have to max out the fryer with a 20 lb bird. Good times, good times.
