AZ Bikes and the Bike N Bean sponsored a show at the orpheum tonight for a showing of the new Kranked and New World Disorder videos. It was off the hook. Kranked was almost all downhill/freeride, and NWD was a mix of downhill, freeride, and street. They both rocked the house, but I think NWD for pure ‘wow’ factor and general entertainment took the cake. It almost made me want to go out and buy a downhill bike. Then I realized I would hurt myself a lot more than I already do.

So I think a dirt jump bike might be a better choice. Plus then it would more than likely be a singlespeed….. mmmmmmm….

On second thought, I better just build up my cyclocross frame first. So many options…

The shindaggers are playing moab this weekend, and a couple friends of friends recently purchased the chili pepper bike shop. So, the plan of attack (as of earlier today) was to point the subie north for the weekend, and do a moab trip. Rumor has it there’s a pub crawl friday, a group ride saturday morning, a downhill race saturday afternoon, and then a party all night saturday with live music It’ll be some good biking and some good partying. A fun time to be had by all.

It’s been raining here, so no riding, but I think it’s winding down for the next couple months anyways. Then I’ll start the trips down the hill to sedona to train for Old Pueblo. Always something to look forward to. Right now it’s chilling out and skiing. It will be pain and suffering on two wheels soon enough. Rock on.
