I know a bunch of you guys who read this blog like to use topofusion and Google Earth.

One of my gripes on google earth is the lack of a topo overlay. It’s the standard view in topofusion, and it can really help you out when you’re trying to decipher where a trail goes on the map. Well, no more. There’s a kmz file you can download here which dynamically downloads topo maps from the USGS website and overlays them in the correct location on google earth. It has a bit of a delay, but it’s still pretty freakin’ cool.
