Rain Rain Rain
Rain has been the name of the game lately. It’s wet out, real wet. What else can I say, it’s been raining for the last week. More rain than I can remember in flagstaff.
It doesn’t bother me too terribly much, I just do more housework inside, and get real muddy on the rides that I head out on. Business as usual, for the most part.
Unfortunately, the folks over on the east side of town have felt the full brunt of all the water that’s coming down.
It reminds me a little of the midwest where it would rain for weeks on end when I was growing up. We were a little better equipped to deal with it there, but the flooded intersections, the overflowing gutters, and the lush green vegetation that’s popping up everywhere look all to familiar.
I don’t have too much more to say about it, it is what it is. So I’ll leave you with some photos instead.
The downtown flooding last friday
A muddy ride, moments before these sweet new socks were unidentifiable.
At least the rain has made for some nice flowers and some awesome clouds.
The garden, as expected, is loving all this rain and plotting a hostile takeover of the rest of the backyard.
While the worms are retreating to higher ground (namely the back porch)
That’s all I got, peace out.

Life in the desert.

Those socks are actually rated for hurricane force mud. So you were well within the manufacturer spec there. Glad you like ‘em!

desert indeed….
love the socks, thanks for sending them along. I’ve gotten nothing but good words when people see them. Glad I got 2 pair. I think that brings the tally up to 4 pairs I own without holes in them.
