I have no idea who took these pictures, but they came across my inbox earlier today and I thought I might share since I’ve had a lot of people asking if I’ve seen any of the burn area yet.

These are of waterline road, not sure exactly when they were taken (the exif data on the photos says 11:59 pm on 6/28/10, which is pretty impossible).

This should give you a good idea why waterline is considered a completely off-limits zone currently. Lots of deadfall waiting to happen, and a road that looks like it has absolutely no anchoring anymore. I only hope the monsoons which have started to roll in are merciful….
