Crazy 88: Fliers and Beer Suggestions
I did a little work on the fliers today for the Crazy 88, and finished them up. I’ll have them in the local shops here in flag tomorrow.
Here’s the final version (it’s a half sheet of paper, long ways). If you click through, you can download a sheet with 2 on it to print out and hang on your fridge….or one for you, and one for a friend….or one for home and one for work…. or one to look at and one to use for…. never mind.
I also updated the event page with a few more details, including the 9am start time for the “44 only” version of the race. Still working out details on the final of the course, as I’m trying to put more singletrack on the first lap, but I’m not sure if it’s gonna be a little too ‘over the top’ or not. We’ll see.
I also have a very important question for everyone. You see, I’m gonna brew some beer for the race, but I just can’t decide what to brew. I was thinking about an IPA, but there’s a possibility that I’ll be getting a keg of some awesome IPA donated (can’t tell you from where, but I’ll leave it at that). So, the question of the day is:
What kind of beer should I brew for the Crazy 88?
It’s getting done this weekend, so speak up and let me know so I can start putting recipes together. Leave me a comment and I’ll see what shakes out.

Brew something on the lighter side, think refreshing, as to not knock everyone out after the ride.
Oh yeah, I’m planning on the 44.

It’s hard to think of how to add singletrack without adding too much more elevation and/or miles.

I vote for some more of your Irish red beer or a whiskey/gatorade combo at the “aid stations.”
