Many of you have heard rumors of the race that I’m planning on putting on at the beginning of august, or even caught the subtle plug in one of my previous posts.

Well, you can consider this the official announcement.

The Crazy 88 is going to be a big-ass figure 8 around the peaks and then flagstaff. The center of the figure 8 is at the sunset parking lot which is where everything begins and ends, and crosses through at around the halfway point.

I’ve got the latest info on the route (which is currently 85 miles and ~9000 feet of climbing, but will be tweaked to be as close to 88 as possible) and the race. This race is completely free, and will be on Saturday, August 9th 2008 (8-9-08).

Be ready for some fun suffering.
