Beginnings and Ends
I got a call that I had been expecting (but not looking forward to) on tuesday morning. My grandmother passed away at 81 years old. She had a stroke a couple months back, and has been in and out of the hospital and was at home with full-time care when she passed. I bought a ticket wednesday, and arrived via redeye in New Jersey this morning.

Needless to say, I won’t be at the Coconino Dirty Century this weekend.
On a much happier note, I got news from Mark and Amanda that they had a big event on tuesday as well. Harper Lily was born on tuesday at 4:34pm. Congrats, and I hope you guys don’t mind me stealing a photo off your gallery site.
Mark – I see you had to trim the goatee as not to poke your new kid’s eye out.

Condolences & congratulation.

My condolences to you and your family. Your absence out on the trail today was evident; the long grind up Schnebly reminded me of our “good” times at KMC.
Randy mentioned the Flag race series that you mentioned in your blog. As luck would have it, I will be back up in Flagstaff during that weekend camping on Elden with the crew. Perhaps we can have a do-over from the KMC debacle.
Hope to see you soon.

I hope the race went well on saturday, I’m sure it was a scorcher. I can’t wait to hear about it.
Are you talking about Bryce’s series or the Crazy 88? I don’t even know when the rest of the dates are gonna be for Bryce’s races, but if you’re gonna be up for the crazy 88, it’s gonna be a hell of a time, that’s for sure.

I was referring to Bryce’s series. Randy mentioned the 12th of July as the next one. The Crazy 88 is on my calendar, hope to bring a few people up from Tucson.
