The sponsorships are rolling in for the crazy 88. Okay, maybe not rolling in, but people have been responding to my prodding and poking. Just wanted to give a shout out to the following companies, as they’ve signed up to give a little help for the Crazy 88 this year. Please support them, as they’ve made a decision to help support our grassroots racing event.

Rooly Sunglasses – We’ve got a few pairs of sunglasses headed this way from the fine folks at Rooly. They look like some awesome sunglasses, can’t wait to see them.

BikeShopHub, BikeTrailerShop, BikeBagShop – The fine folks over at BikeShopHub, which is the parent site of BikeTrailerShop.com and BikeBagShop.com are donating a couple really nice bags for prizes. I’ll leave the exact models a surprise, but I’ll just say that they’re sweet.

VoodooHolds – They’re not a bike company, but they are local, and Frank and Gina are just as big time bikers as they are climbers, and all-around good people. Since Frank is coming out for the race, he said he’d drop off some voodoo schwag for us to pass out.

DZ-Nuts – Long races require the correct equipment, and DZ-Nuts is helping us out. I received a box full of single-serving sample packs of DZ-Nuts along with a T-shirt to add to the prize stack. Don’t worry, we’ve got plenty for everyone.

Honey Stinger – Honey stinger couldn’t pull through for a straight-up donation, but the prices they gave me as a race promoter are about as close to free as you can get, so I’m ordering up a few boxes of race fuel for everyone. We’ll have some of their organic chews and some of their energy gel at the race.

Dirt Rag – Thanks again to Dirt Rag. They passed along some pint glasses, some t-shirts, and some water bottles in their box o schwag for the race.

I’ve sent out a bunch more emails to some other companies, but if you know of anyone else (we’re not above using the ‘friend of a friend’ foot-in-the-door here at HBS) that may be up for donating some prizes or race support, please let me know either via a comment or email (nathan at handlebarsandwich dot com). I’m going to be getting fliers out by the beginning of July (at the latest), so I’m trying to get all the sponsorship/support ducks in a row for the race before then.
