MJ- Everyone needs one, end of story.

Rhino -

1- Currently the big dummy only comes in 26. It'll fit 2.5 inch tires, though, which is AWESOME.

2- I just got the footsies, but don't have the wideloaders (yet), which are the larger horizontal running boards on the sides. The footsies are super-sweet (see my newest post), definitely a worthy addition. I'm not sure how the chariot mount works, but if it needs to have access to the axle, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. The only issue may be how far back the trailer needs to be behind the bike, because the frame does extend behind the back wheel a few extra inches. It looks like the chariot only needs access to one side, though, so you could always just not put a wideloader on that side.

3 - The kit just slips in and out of the frame, so it isn't too bad to take it off unless it's really loaded down. I think a centerstand that puts the back wheel off the ground is going to be key for loading and changing flats, I'm looking around for a nice one right now and have an email in to Josh from biketrailershop.com for some suggestions.

If you're going to do an xtracycle freeradical (convert a current bike) I think they make a 700C version which may fit 29er wheels as long as the tires aren't too huge. Might email xtracycle or biketrailershop.com about it. You might want to be careful with the 29er though, as the back wheel takes a lot of stress and so you want a nice beefy wheel if you're gonna be carrying any sort of weight (and 29ers are usually a little less beefy than 26ers).

Oh yeah, and the BD is still out of stock until august pretty much everywhere. Might want to factor that into the timeline.

ok here's a couple of Big Dumby or Extra Cycle questions. The wife wants a BD or an EC (prolly just the EC).

1.BD - 26 or 29?
2.Do you have footboards? Can you access the axle with the footboards and sidebags to mount a Chariot Trailer?
3. How tough would it be to change a rear flat with the EC Kit on the rear?

The plan is to put an EC on my wife's KHS 29er SS. Mount the the baby seat on the Extra Cycle deck and tow the big sister in the Chariot Trailer. I was also thinking about buying the Dumby? Still in the planning stage.
