Good Ol’ Samaritan Hospital
So I’ve been doing this volunteer work in the ER at Samaritan Hospital. I’ve been putting in about 10 hours a week ontop of my already busy school schedule and it has really been keeping me from riding a crap-ton. So I finally finish my hours, last thursday, and while I’m leaving I make some smart ass remark like “Hope I never have to come back, as a patient that is.” and then a ran like hell away from the hospital.
The next day, friday, a group of us decide to hit up some singletrack at Gibb’s Farm, one of our alumni owns some sick private singletrack, and about 3/4 of the way through the ride BAM!! Chris picks a line that he can’t handle and gets shot over his bars and straight onto his shoulder. Homie isn’t doin’ to hot with his left arm so we decide to walk him out and take him to the ER. THE SAME FREAKIN’ ER I LEFT THE DAY BEFORE!! After a nice long 6 hour stay in the ER I have come to the conclusion that I should never be a smartass whenever I am done with a job.
Anyways, the guys got to see the incredibly hot X-ray tech that brightned my day everytime I went in to work. I think one of the nurses offered to get the tech to scrub Chris down, had a nice patch of trail rash on his butt. I’ll try to throw some pictures up of Chris’s first trip to the ER.
