It's a Maxxis Ignitor 2.3, UST version. I think it says "LUST" on the side for lightweight ultimate sidewall technology. Fancy Shmancy.

It's one of the only front tires that I've bought twice in a row. Not quite as sticky as something like a motoraptor (which was a previous favorite but wore out pretty quickly), but very durable and pretty fast rolling for a 2.3 (really round profile).

I'm running a 34x17 (my standard setup).

It's a 2:1 gear ratio, and according to "sheldon brown":http://sheldonbrown.com/gears/ is 52.8 gear inches and a 3.8 gain ratio, 4.2 meters of development (with a 2.3" rear tire and 175mm cranks).
