Hump Day Dump
Dara threw up a quick post today, and it looks like tRoy and Blair have finished up their bid for the AZT 300. Can’t wait to hear some stories, I’m sure they’ve got some good ones.
Just finished watching Into the Wild. Good movie. I was impressed how much it stuck to the book.
I saw this the other day, and thought it was pretty hilarious: Say Cheese
I’ve been diggin on this band called Flobots lately. I highly recommend checking them out. Pretty crazy video on youtube for their song Handlebars
This weekend is the Whiskey and I think this is the first year that this will actually be my shortest race to date (only 50 miles, ha!). All I’m hoping is that I can finally break my curse of 4:54 plus or minus 1. (2006 time: 4:55, 2005 time: 4:53). I want to go big. I want 4:30 or better. It should be soooo doable. We’ll see. . .
I’m not sure if anyone noticed or not, but I added a little feature on the sidebar. It’s a dump of my rss feed from google reader. When I find something interesting or worth noting that I read out of all my RSS feeds, I ‘star’ it and it shows up there. It’s like another little glimpse into my brain. Topics of late have included all the hubub around BPA and how everyone wants BPA-free bottles (If you don’t know what that is, try a google news search)
I enjoyed reading this piece by IMBA and shimano which I got to from this post from the great white north.
Finally, Bike to Work Week is coming up in a few weeks here in flag. I went to a worksite coordinator meeting last night, and they’re getting geared up for it. It’s always great to see other people joining in the commute. I need to renew my membership, and give them an additional $36 for the 12 t-shirts which have sold so far. It’s not a ton of money, but it’s a little bit of extra above and beyond what I typically do and every bit helps with no tour de fat this year.
That’s all I got for tonight. Remember, it’s all downhill to the weekend from here. Peace out.
