Dara threw up a quick post today, and it looks like “tRoy and Blair have finished up their bid for the AZT 300″:http://www.juniper-solutions.com/dara/?p=234. Can’t wait to hear some stories, I’m sure they’ve got some good ones.

Just finished watching “Into the Wild”:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0758758/. Good movie. I was impressed how much it stuck to the book.

I saw this the other day, and thought it was pretty hilarious: “Say Cheese”:http://googlesightseeing.com/2008/04/21/worlds-greatest-cunning-stunt/

I’ve been diggin on this band called “Flobots”:http://www.flobots.com/ lately. I highly recommend checking them out. Pretty crazy video on youtube for their song “Handlebars”:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afX6VYn48KE

This weekend is the “Whiskey”:http://www.epicrides.com/wor/wor.htm and I think this is the first year that this will actually be my shortest race to date (only 50 miles, ha!). All I’m hoping is that I can finally break my curse of 4:54 plus or minus 1. (2006 time: 4:55, 2005 time: 4:53). I want to go big. I want 4:30 or better. It should be soooo doable. We’ll see. . .

I’m not sure if anyone noticed or not, but I added a little feature on the sidebar. It’s a dump of my rss feed from google reader. When I find something interesting or worth noting that I read out of all my RSS feeds, I ‘star’ it and it shows up there. It’s like another little glimpse into my brain. Topics of late have included all the hubub around “BPA”:http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=3&url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FBisphenol_A&ei=wjQQSIrlIp7SpgTUqPHpBg&usg=AFQjCNGgpDjIF2JiWS1F6MAEt3GzdFMdXw&sig2=qXJy0YR527AkpVfebTDlPw and how everyone wants BPA-free bottles (If you don’t know what that is, try a “google news search”:http://news.google.com/news?q=bpa&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&hl=en&sa=X&oi=news_result&resnum=4&ct=title)

I enjoyed reading “this piece by IMBA and shimano”:http://www.imba.com/resources/science/shimano_econ_impacts.pdf which I got to from “this post from the great white north”:http://alaskabikeblog.blogspot.com/2008/04/is-it-just-me-or.html.

Finally, “Bike to Work Week”:http://flagstaffbiking.org/bike-to-work-week/ is coming up in a few weeks here in flag. I went to a worksite coordinator meeting last night, and they’re getting geared up for it. It’s always great to see other people joining in the commute. I need to renew my membership, and give them an additional $36 for the 12 “t-shirts”:http://www.handlebarsandwich.com/shop/ which have sold so far. It’s not a ton of money, but it’s a little bit of extra above and beyond what I typically do and every bit helps with “no tour de fat”:http://flagstaffbiking.org/2008/01/29/tour-de-fat-is-cancelled-for-2008/ this year.

That’s all I got for tonight. Remember, it’s all downhill to the weekend from here. Peace out.
