Biking isn’t quite in full swing here in flag yet, but it’s definitely on the way. I made it onto my fixie tuesday, wednesday, and today for the commute to and from work, and all three days I made it out for a ride after work as well.

Tuesday I rode up elden and hit rocky ridge on the way down. It was pretty much 100% dry.

Wednesday I checked out Dog Food, which only had 3 sections of snow too big to easily ride across (I tried really hard on one of them, and ended up laying on my back in the snow after going over the bars). I rocked out a quick loop on rocky ridge after that as well, for a nice ride which was almost all singletrack (yay!).

Today I decided to leave the mountain bike alone and hit up lake Mary road on the road bike. I got in a good 40 miles (round trip) in right around 2 hours.

Yes, indeed, it is starting to look like biking season here in the pines.

This weekend is looking more and more like the “last hurrah”:http://www.silvertonmountain.com for the skis. It was a good year, but it’s time for them to take a back seat to the bikes now.

If anyone else knows of any trails which are thawing out up here, let me know, as I’ll be back on the bike again next week after work, for sure.
