Frank threw down some pics of his 29er, and the thing looks sweet. Check out the “V-1”

For some reason the pic at the 45 degree angle got corrupted trying to upload it, so you can’t see the dual top-tube on it, but if you look closely you can see that the seat stays are all one piece with the dual top-tube. Nice work Frank. I’m definitely gonna take you up on that test ride when I get a chance.

Salt lake city was full-on spring skiing. Icy in the morning, and waterskiing in a long sleeve polypro and goretex pants after lunch. This picture just about sums it up. We had a good time skiing.

Oh yeah, we had a good time partying as well. Happy St. Patty’s Day.

The next few days are a whirlwind of packing and acquiring gear, so maybe I’ll get a ride or two in, but the real push is that Kelly and I leave thursday night for a little over a week in Belize. It’s gonna be a blast.

We’re renting sea kayaks for 5 days, and paddling around to a bunch of little deserted islands, snorkeling, swimming, climbing trees for coconuts, and generally chilling out. Well, as much as a couple active people can chill out (we’re figuring on about 10 miles of kayaking a day, give or take, that’s chilling, right?). It’s gonna be a blast. We figure between her sea kayak guiding background and my whitewater background, we should make it out alive. Stay tuned for that.

So, if you don’t see any updates from me for a while, you’ll know why. It’s because I’m not near a computer, a cell phone, or even other people for a little while. It’s been planned for a little while, but so much other stuff has been happening that the whole ‘planning’ thing (beyond buying tickets) has really happened in the last week or so. Who needs planning?

The only other exciting news is that it’s summer enough that I shaved my goatee. On second thought, never mind, that’s not that exciting. Aw, heck. We’ve reached a new low here at HS. Have a picture. enjoy.
