There have been a couple items that have come across my screen that may be of interest to some of you. Hopefully they can be of some use to you all.

Gold Sprints in Flag
Did you think the gold sprints video I posted was just too awesome for words? Well, it looks like we’re gonna be havin’ a showdown here in flagstaff. One of the guys I follow on twitter who goes by the handle “RobotHouse” has put together a goldsprints system, and is debuting it at Tacos Locos on March 28th. I would post more details, but really, the info on this that I have is less than 140 characters long and you can read it here.

However, that being said, it sounds like bonus prizes will be awarded for creative facial hair, consider yourselves warned. I’ll pass along any more details as I get them.

Trails
Alright, this isn’t really news, but I did want to let those of you with enquiring minds out there know that trails are starting to dry out. Rocky Ridge, Pickle, most of Lower Brookbank, all of Elden Lookout Road, Jump, Lower Oldham, and most of the other stuff on the south and southeast sides of elden are all dry and rideable. I haven’t been over to the fort valley trails yet, but I also have a hunch that they’re either dry, or will be soon (judging by everything else around here).

Rabies
No, I don’t have rabies. But, according to signage that’s been posted all over the trail signs on elden, there have been several rabid animals spotted around the mount elden area. Make sure your pets have their vaccinations, and watch out for suspicious wildlife.

Remember, if you get rabies, it’s 6 shots over a 28 day period for the treatment, so you probably want to avoid that.

At least they don’t have to give it to you as a 20 shots to the stomach anymore, but it’s still in the arm and the butt.
