Thanks for all the feedback. I spent about 45 minutes in a shop today trying on Rudy's to see what I liked. After pulling all 25 pairs they had out, trying all of them on, and systematically ruling pairs out based on alien-like looks, percieved venting problems, and fit that I think would drive me nuts after several hours of wearing them, I think I've settled on the Rydon's.

I like the feel and they don't look "too hokey":http://www.designboom.com/eng/trend/eye/oakley.jpg. I think I might look into the vented lenses and I'm waiting on a friend to see if I can get a deal, but should have a new pair soon.

steve - I think it's pretty funny too. expensive, but funny nonetheless.

I've got pair resembling the Nike Pursue. I love mine, they came with two different lenses and are super lightweight. They have really good all around coverage and feel like they're glued to your head. I wore mine on wave-runners all last summer and even after getting launched into the water they stayed on.

The Rudy Project Kalyos I got last week are pretty sweet. Super light and unobtrusive, and better venting than anything else I've had. Not to expensive, either (in the grand scheme).

Not a big Oakley fan, but I love my Half Jackets.

Sorry about your misfortune.

Scratch that, I'm really not. Too funny.

Rhino - Somebody else had recommended Native to me as well. I didn't realize all their stuff had the interchangeable lenses. I kinda like the look of the Hardtop, might have to see if I can find somebody around who carries them and may have a pair I can take a look at.

Jacob - I had a pair of RP Kerosene's for a while, and have thought about getting another pair somewhat like them. I like the look of those Rydons, for sure. I think Rudy has some sort of scratch replacement program as well. Those glasses met their demise somewhere along Route 7 coming back from vermont to school in new york. I left them on top of a car, and they probably didn't make it very far down the road.
