Ridings and Writings
I am exhausted. I busted out a hard 45 minutes of drills this morning before work and then went skate skiing after work. My legs said ‘uncle’ a long time ago, and I’m packing up my things to hike up the peaks with J-money tomorrow. Sedona is tentatively slated for sunday as well.
This is going to be one of those weekends where I look forward to going back to work on monday so I can rest.
Wouldn’t have it any other way.
Since it’s already well past midnight here and jeremy is supposed to be here at 6:45 tomorrow, I’m gonna make this quick.
I just wanted to pass along a couple more events that have come across my desk. The first is from Steve up in oregon. It seems that he is putting together an oregon endurance series for 2008. There are 3 races tentatively scheduled right now, and the details are at “their new site”:http://oreseries.wordpress.com/. There probably are a few from oregon who read this site (google analytics counts 22 of you in the last 30 days), so have at it.
The next is some clarification on the flyer that I posted a few days back. You may remember that I posted the link for the “Kaibab Monstercross Flyer”:http://bedrockandparadox.blogspot.com/2008/01/coming-soon.html. There was another small cryptic message on there as well, and if you haven’t been following the comments, I got some clarification. It’s another race, this one up near Brianhead, and on the 5th of July. It’s called the Markagunt Endurance Ride, and the site is “here”:http://markaguntride.blogspot.com/.
Finally, I want to give a little plug to my esteemed roommate D2. As many of you know, he is aspiring to be a starving artist. In addition to eating a lot of Ramen (which he is very good at), he recently launched an online literary magazine with one of his old friends. They just published the first issue of “Waterlogged August”:http://waterloggedaugust.com/. Each month they are going to publish another issue with a different guest author for the whole issue.
It’s a nice departure from the engineer-speak posts you get here, which tend to amount to something along the lines of:
“What I did today, Take 348″
Or
“Links to what other people did today, Take 215″
Or finally
“How I fixed something which should have been designed better, Take 107″
At least I am very aware of my place in this great “series of tubes”:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Series_of_tubes, right?
Enjoy.

Thanks for the mention of the OR Endurance Series. The goal is to get at least two routes pulled together in 2008.
In looking at your calendar, I see you are not doing anything the first weekend in May. Zap me an email and I can take care of that for you…Steve
