09 Events and the Final Jersey Plea
I promise, you won’t hear any more nagging from me on this order for the HBS kits. I’m closing the jersey order when I wake up thursday morning. So, if you want a jersey or shorts, mosey on over to the store and make sure your order is in by wednesday night.
Really, I’ll shut up now.
In case you’re not on the email lists for the New Mexico Endurance Series and the Arizona Endurance Series, the emails have been flying about the 2009 schedule. In case you’re too lazy to visit the sites, here’s the low down:
Arizona Endurance Series
Antelope Peak Challenge – Jan 25
Sedona Big Friggin Loop – April 4th
Prescott Monstercross – April 18 (tentative date)
Coconino Dirty Century – May 23
Deuces Wild Poker Ride – May 30
Kaibab Monstercross – June 13
Rock y Road 50/50 – Oct 17
Kentucky Camp Epic – Dec 12
New Mexico Endurance Series
San Ysidro Dirty Century – March 14th
Cochiti 100 – May 30th
Santa Fe Big Friggen Loop – June 27th
Double Boundary Trail – September 12th
Zuni Mountain 100 – October 17th
Also, add the Crazy 88 to your calendars for 8-8-09 (August 8th). I’ll start updating the page at some point, but let the rumor mill start churning. Tentative plans are more aid stations, more prizes and some sponsors, and a dedicated 44 mile option with a later start.
For those of you doing Leadville, it’s not the same weekend this year, because the guys who run leadville realized that nobody would show up if it was the same weekend as the crazy 88, so it’s the weekend after.
Alright, I made that last part up, but it really is a different weekend this year.
The SingleSwizzle is January 24th (yes, the day before the APC, could be an epic weekend), so send that furry bastard DeeJay some money if you want in.
And finally, everyone’s favorite 24 hour race, Old Pueblo, is February 14th. This past weekend an email went out saying that there are only 80 spots left, so I hope you got your team registered. Rumor has it that I’m gonna be riding on a 4-man singlespeed team with the guys from BTI. If they got us registered, that is.
Tim, are you out there? Are we registered?
Guess I’ll find out soon enough.
This might be kinda weird actually sleeping and resting during a 24 hour race. Utter insanity.
That should give you something to chew on, and something to train for. I’m gonna throw all this crap up on the calendar page sometime soon, so you won’t have to go digging for it in the future.
Peace out.
